Mission

Providing swift and targeted support to those affected by antisemitism, strengthening preventive approaches, and raising awareness of antisemitism in Germany.

OFEK e.V. is Germany’s first specialist counselling centre dedicated specifically to supporting victims of antisemitic attacks. In addition to psychosocial assistance, the organisation offers legal counselling, crisis intervention, and support through legal proceedings. Another key focus is providing expert advice to schools, universities, and other educational institutions. The Alfred Landecker Foundation supports OFEK’s work.

OFEK e.V. is Germany’s first specialist counselling centre focusing on antisemitism and community-based support for victims of violence and discrimination. Operating nationwide, OFEK follows a holistic approach: (1) case-specific support for those affected, (2) strengthening and empowering the community, (3) antisemitism-aware consultancy for institutions, and (4) advocacy and policy representation. Counselling for victims is guided by the professional quality standards of victim support and anti-discrimination counselling. OFEK operates a Germany-wide hotline and has counselling centres in multiple federal states. It also runs two RIAS reporting centres in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. Together with the Central Welfare Board of Jews in Germany (ZWST e.V.), OFEK is developing a Hebrew-language pastoral care hotline.
