Jews in Germany are facing deeply troubling and rising levels of antisemitism. RIAS e.V. has taken on the vital task of offering active support to those affected. At the same time, it systematically records antisemitic incidents, creating a valuable database that is made publicly available to raise awareness and inform action.

In October 2018, the Federal Association of Departments for Research and Information on Antisemitism (RIAS) was founded in Berlin. It was founded with the aim of ensuring the standardised recording and documentation of antisemitic incidents nationwide based on the IHRA working definition. It also provides support to those affected. The federal association RIAS e.V. initiates and supports the establishment of regional reporting and support networks. It supports and trains civil society projects that record antisemitic incidents within Germany.
